After analyzing parent and staff feedback, we recognize the needs and concerns within our VMS community vary. Therefore, we have designed programs to accommodate these needs, all of which are in compliance with the guidance form county health authorities and state mandates as it relates to Covid-19 mitigation.

Here are the 2020-2021 VMS programs:

Toddler and Primary Programs:
We look forward to welcoming back to VMS all of our toddler and primary children that want an on-campus experience. Since these programs fall under Community Childcare Licensing, we are able to provide them with strict safety protocols in place. Children will be grouped in cohorts of 12 or less.
Primary Distance Learning Program
For families who are not ready to have their primary children back on campus, we are providing a robust Distance Learning program. There will be specific teachers assigned to this role.
Distance Learning for Elementary through Middle School
For the balance of our community, as mandated by the state of California due to Covid-19 concerns, we will provide a comprehensive Distance Learning program for each grade first through eighth. Based on parent and staff feedback, as well as best practices for online learning, we have enhanced our programs from the spring and have dedicated teachers assigned at each level.
Childcare While Participating in Distance Learning
In accordance with local guidance, we are able to offer limited Childcare for VMS Elementary and Middle School students while they participate in Distance Learning. This will provide a place for students to do their distance learning while being supervised by VMS staff, allowing their parents to return to work. These students will be grouped in cohorts of 12 and adhere to all Covid-19 safety protocols. Due to overwhelming response, this childcare program is full.
