Invest in VMS!

VMS has provided a respectful, engaging, and innovative Montessori education for children of the East Bay for over 45 years. As we prepare them for an ever-changing world, we are committed to maintaining and enhancing a nurturing learning environment and supporting our dedicated teachers who inspire the children each day.

The VMS Annual Fund

Importance of Annual Giving

Together our gifts support our exceptional teachers and programs. Annual giving provides essential support for professional development, additional STEAM resources, enhancing our campus and facilities, technology advancement and growing our tuition assistance fund. Our annual operating budget is supported mostly by tuition revenue, yet a portion of our income is needed from tax-deductible gifts each year. Annual Fund dollars allow us to strengthen our programs beyond what is possible with tuition alone. At VMS, we are committed to continuous improvement of our programs and the Montessori values that guide and unite us.

Ways to Give to Our Annual Fund

  • Donate Online: Our website accepts both one-time gifts and monthly gifts. Utilizing the monthly gift option has allowed many families to increase or even double their gifts!

  • Submit a Check:  Checks may be mailed or brought to the school: 1273 N Livermore Ave, Livermore, CA 94551

  • Donate Stock: Contact the Development Office, development@vmschool.org to get details for your stockbroker to electronically transfer stock to VMS. Donations of stock can have significant tax advantages.

We Need Every Family

Traditionally, 100% of our Board, teachers, and staff participate in the VMS Annual Fund. We ask that all members of our community follow their lead by making a meaningful gift in support of our teachers and programs.

Each family’s situation is different, yet participation is very important. Gifts range from $10,000 to $10 per month. Strong participation in our Annual Fund may encourage external support via foundation grants and corporate sponsors. We launch our annual fund in the fall of each year and aim to have the majority of our contributions submitted by December 31,

Our Common Purpose

Together, we share a common purpose to secure the future of Valley Montessori School. The quality and strength of our VMS programs relies on our entire community who are all stakeholders in the school, beneficiaries of those who gave before us, and guardians of our future. Collectively we will make a significant impact on this year’s VMS Annual Fund.

Matching Funding

Many employers provide a payroll deduction option and may provide matching funding opportunities that could double your gift. Note that the legal name for VMS is Tri-Valley Montessori School.
