Brice

Director of Advancement

Elizabeth Brice is our Director of Advancement. She holds a Bachelor of Public Administration from the University of San Francisco, and studied International Relations at the American College of Switzerland where she worked in the Public Relations Office. She spent several years in finance at First Chicago Bank before moving to California and discovering Montessori. Elizabeth served as a Board Member at Montessori Children’s House in San Francisco, where she was previously their Auction Committee Chair. She promoted peace education with Ursula Thrush at the Montessori Institute of San Francisco and facilitated strategic giving via donor advised funds as a Gifts and Grants Associate with RSF Social Finance. She joined VMS in 2002 and has served on several committees including Development, Strategic Planning, Technology and Marketing. She has presented on Development at the annual American Montessori Society (AMS) Conference, and has served on school accreditation teams for the Western Association for Schools and Colleges (WASC). In 2020, Elizabeth earned a Master of Science in Global Technology and Development, from ASU’s School for the Future of Innovation and Society. Most recently, she completed Stanford’s certificate program for Leveraging Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for Organizational Excellence. In her free time, she enjoys live music and visiting her son and daughter in Los Angeles.
