Birch Room

Nithi Zaveri discovered Valley Montessori School as a parent; soon thereafter she obtained her AMS (American Montessori Society) credentials and joined VMS as a Primary Teacher in the Birch room. She remembers fondly what it is like to be a parent of a Primary student, and this informs her desire to create authentic and open partnerships with her students’ families. Nithi also enjoys supporting other teachers, through mentorship as well as in her role as Primary Level Lead. She has begun participating in the accreditation process for WASC (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) and AMS schools, through site visits and assessments.

Nithi holds her bachelor’s degree from UC Davis in political science, and a master’s degree in International Relations. Prior to joining VMS, she was a program director at a bay area nonprofit organization. Nithi enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, fitness, and spending time with her husband and two children.
