Ilona was born and raised in Hungary and after coming to the United States obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on Childhood Studies, a masters in Montessori Education from the Montessori Institute for Advanced Studies and a Montessori Early Childhood Credential from St Mary’s College. Ilona enjoys gardening, sewing and spending time with her family. In her spare time, volunteers for the Hungarian Children’s Playhouse in Portola Valley as a puppeteer.
